Friends of the Earth Middle East Takes Part in Rehabilitation of Safi Garden
By Fathi al Huwaimel
(Translated from Arabic)
Friends of the Earth Middle East will participate in the rehabilitation of the Safi Garden, which will serve the local community in the Safi Area. FoEME responded to an article that described the bad situation of the garden. FoEME will create a series of open spaces and gardens in the Southern Ghore area, in cooperation with the municipality and the Jordan Valley Authority. The plan includes rehabilitation of the neglected garden in the Safi Area, creation of a garden in the Mazraa Area with support from the Municipality, and creation of a garden on the shores of the Dead Sea in cooperation with the Jordan Valley Authority.
FoEME will establish a local committee in each locality that will be empowered to protect and maintain the garden. FoEME is working in accordance with King Hussein's Message Towards a Green Jordan and is guided by sustainable development goals.
